Golden Spiral- Connecting to higher realms of Consciousness

The Golden Spiral

Introduction or Shubhaarambha

I was born in a small town called Pune in Western India on a Thursday, being the Thirteenth of August in the year 1964.  My parents, (late) Mrs. Gnanambal Ramamoorthy and Mr. Srinivasan Ramamoorthy lived a very simple lifestyle.  Even though my father used to work in the military, he was more into traditional music from south India.  My mother on the other hand was a devout traditional lady and was into the art of Yoga (Kundalini Yoga, shree vidya and soundarya lahiri) and used to teach at home.

The significance of my date of birth always attracted my attention.  It had a deeper meaning and message for me to understand life from a different perspective as well.  13-08-1964, meant that I was destined to study the 13 dimensions, 8 Siddhis (or mystical powers) and 64 Tantras (the Arts of all kinds that could help human kind to utilize all natural resources for better life on Earth).

Hence, I started my journey very early in my life, when I was introduced to the art of playing Violin, when only seven, by my father and grandmother.  I haven’t looked back ever since as I embark onto my fortieth year of this earthly life.  I remember my first experience that can be termed “Para-normal” being a great experience for me and my family, when we lived in Central India at a place called Jabalpur.

This experience still rings in my ears loud and clear and it was my first connection to something very cosmic and paranormal.  In the city we lived in, there was a girl named Gayatri.  One day encountered my mother on her way to school/ college. My mother just looked at her face and tried to look beyond into something.  I watched this scene with all my innocence as a small child.  I must have been just seven or eight years of age then.

My mother looked into this girl’s eyes and said, “I see certain events coming up in your life and this has something to do with some kind of a “Possession.”  You should be careful not to walk across the graveyard that you often go through when going to the college.  Be careful, otherwise I foresee a very difficult phase in your life coming up.”  (I also remember that my mother told this girl, that this could happen due to the strong perfumes she used to wear on herself and thus she could attract some unwanted spirit to her being.)

The obvious had to happen, so that girl just shook her head in disagreement with my mother and laughed at her words and walked away saying, “Oh Mrs. Ramamoorthy, you are very old fashioned and cannot see that we, as educated humans have a better understanding of human life now than what we had before.  I am a student of science, so nothing of this sort will happen.  You don’t worry about me, I will be just fine.”

And that matter seemed to have ended for her and me there.  But my mother was positive that something was strange and not in synch with the universe and its laws.  She just went home and started to do some kind of a distance healing for the girl who was supposedly in some kind of a danger, which my mother won’t even utter about.

Soon, we were to find to our horror that this girl was indeed possessed by some kind a ‘Dark spirit” as I can describe it, for I was still a small child and did not understand much of what was going on.  The effects of this possession was that this girl would suddenly become very violent and even though she was a frail girl, develop in her slim body the power to throw six or seven men, who would try and keep her down and calm with force, by just pushing them away with her legs and arms.

Then, my mother was summoned by that family to help this girl.  My mother followed her traditional methods of applying some kind of an ‘Ash’ and vermillion on the girl’s forehead and recited certain mantras.  That led to sudden bouts of that girl telling everybody that she did not want to be healed and my mother was unmoved by all the drama, as if she had already seen all of this.

There was a big discussion at my home, my three elder sisters and father started to block my mother from going to help that girl and eventually my mother gave in and said, “Okay, now you all have put a serious block in my work, so I won’t supercede that and won’t go to that girl’s home, but continue to do distance healing for that girl.”  She described this as ‘Spandana Mudra” healing (which is from Kundalini and hatha Yoga systems on India) and also combined her system of distance healing with what she then introduced all of us to as “Shree Vidya (Inundation of Divine Splendor…of Mother Nature).  This is where I started to learn about Vibrations as the word Spandana means Vibration, in Sanskrit.

The sad part of the story was that we all forced her from doing her good work of trying to help another being from a “Psychic Attack” of some sort, which obviously I did not fully understand at that time.  But the girl’s family got another gentleman who used to work in the same military organization where my father served and this man could fight such psychic attacks and he used different methods to do so.  In about three weeks or so, this man actually cured that girl completely of the possession.

Then one fine morning, as my mother was walking back from the dairy farm, having brought the daily milk for the family as part of her early morning routine, she saw a man was being stabbed by at least six others and that poor man was struggling to survive and finally he succumbed to the stab wounds on the spot.  Ironically, the man being brutally killed was none other than the man who had helped save the girl from the possession.

So, I as a young boy started to ponder in my thoughts and my mind raced away to question all justice, loyalty, faith, karma, fate and everything around him.  I did not know of the incident till the next morning when the police knocked on our doors to ask us if anyone had seen anything in the wee hours of the day, about a guy being murdered on the streets.

Why in the name of God will someone murder a person who had taken my mother’s place in healing the girl?  Why was he not helped by anyone, when he was being murdered?  Why was God silent?  What Karma did he incur by ‘chasing away’ the dark Spirit from that girl’s body or being?  These were serious questions that were afloat in a child’s mind, from that day.  My entire family was geared up against my mother asking her silly questions and she was just smiling her way out all the time.

Finally, one day she explained to all of us, how these things did not matter anymore, as the Soul chooses its own journeys and its Karmic cycles and is not even touched by the experiences we assume that “Soul” has, where in fact our Mind experiences and the Self or the observer is not even the mind or its contents like memory, mind stuff, consciousness, ego or anything.  Self, she said, was just an absolute and perhaps the only absolute.  When I heard her speak that day, her words left an indelible impression on my mind.  This was my introduction to what she called as the Golden Spiral in which many individual souls incarnated many times over.

Ever since then I have been in her footsteps and often assigned the name “wanderer” to myself and have been trying to understand what vibrations are and how my mother could catch those vibrations by simply looking at a person’s face? This led me to my research in vibrational healing, which my mother used to specialize in and taught many about this art known as Shree-vidya, a very rare science now.

Hence, I started my journey to seek all about vibrations and different methods of healing from my childhood.  But soon, I was to study the other sciences and was diverted from my main goal of trying to decipher these wonderful ancient art forms and their hidden meanings or methods.  I soon grew up and my mother initiated me in a traditional way to learn all the mantras that she used to heal or keep her own family always in balance, so as to speak.

She also attuned me into the thirteen Kundalini chakras and their alignment methods, but was a very brief introduction due to the fact that I was a very young boy at that time, not more than fourteen.  I also had varied interests in life, like ‘kite’ flying for instance.  This has been a very big influence in the development for me to be a good human being.  I have never lost touch with my kites that I flew in my childhood.  During one of my experiences with kites came my realization that ‘Nothing was inanimate.”  All had life and all was from the same source.
