‘Time’ before and after the ‘Big-bang’ and the divergence and convergence of the entire Universe.
Ever since scientists found out about the “Big-bang” man has been always analyzing the data provided in this respect by various Astronomers and Scientists with a pinch of salt. We are never sure of what is being told about our existence and also the possibility of our total destruction, due to whatever reasons quoted till now. In the Indian traditions we follow it quite well that all that has been created in this time was created and destroyed many times, and it has been happening so frequently happening that man feels that this is quite an imagination of himself. But the reality is that big bang did happen. The chemical reaction of all that is matter is computable and has been over a period of time repeatedly proved to be right. Indian mythologies state, “There was no truth or lie, space or time, sky or earth, dark or light before Creation or Srishti." There was only that Brahmaanda or mundane egg that was present. When this disintegrated into billions all that is there in the universe was born at one stroke. Within this first phase of creation living and non-living organisms were brought to existence.
In the Indian traditions time has been explained as Kaala. Soorya Siddhanta defines Time or Kaala as, “Kaalanaatmakaa iti kaalaha.” Or “Computation is the essence or identity of time." Hence it is the computation that brings the astronomical time into existence.
Almost all of the vedic texts state that time is that which has no dimensions. It cannot have any magnitude also. Hence to measure time would be a very big mistake. Time has always been there and shall always be there, whether anything exists or does not. Since this time is the super-imposing and profound factor for all that we know as time and space, time by itself is often compared to God. In the great treatise Bhagawad Geeta Lord Sri Krishna tells to Arjuna:
“I am Time. All that is happening here, there and elsewhere is all happening due to my being present. I do not move, but all that has been created, being created and shall be created is in fact moving at different speeds and relationally Time is understood by creatures at different planes in different ways. Although it may look to you that you have a past, present and future, it is “I” that is there all over the place. All that is happening is nothing but “Me”. So, do not look for Time to help in anyway for your actions, but look within yourself for all the answers to your queries. Once you are born, you must also die. Just as Night follows day and vice-versa, you do not actually have any of the three tenses in time but you co-exist at different planes of consciousness at the same moment. It is only your ignorance that you feel this time difference between your own co-existence at different planes and that of mine.”
Actually, what Sri Krishna tells here is that although Manushya or mankind has been assigned twelve Births or Janmas, man always feels that he is either in the present, past or future plane of his being. But deep inside himself he knows that actually he is present everywhere that the mind can roam to. In no time we think of our forefathers who are not there anymore at the physical plane with us, that they are there for us. This applies to our own replicas or in fact the twelve faces or Roopas that God has given us in such a liberal way. Imagine that you are in fact at twelve different planes and not only here and now. Sri Krishna was a time traveler and he proved it number of times and so have done Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed in their travels.
Man’s ignorance of time has always put him into a fix. It has never struck man that if he has existed before then he shall also exist in future. Time is just the visual illusion for him to be able to assimilate the distance between his one position and the other. Science has developed in such a vast way that man today is capable of sending a rocket to Moon, Mars, Jupiter and even Saturn. The last one is a daring attempt indeed as this spacecraft named Cassini has reached the giant planet after seven and a half years of space travel. Likewise if man is able to device one special rocket that can travel at the same speed of what we relatively call time, then such a craft can take man into his past and future in no time. Or the other option is to make look as though time has indeed stopped. Why this has been a problematic zone for the scientists is due to the fact that not only the orbit of earth has to be taken into account for such an experience. But also the sun’s speed and orbital path and whatever “Central Figure” the sun is going around that central figure’s speed, and also its path and so on like a maze. This is the Golden Spiral.
In ancient times sage Vishwamitra did send one king named Trishanku towards what has been referred to as heaven. The projection was so fast that Trishanku did reach some place that Vishwamitra and he saw as heaven. Due to the nature’s law being put to an imbalance, Lord Indra, who sat on Uranus, sent Trishanku darting towards earth nose-diving. But, Vishwamitra wasn’t to accept defeat at the hands of Indra and hence he decided to stall Trishanku’s fall at mid-heaven and created seven heavens around his body, which can still be seen in the night as he was made to stay in midway point from earth to heaven. These seven heavens are in fact visible to mankind as a special cluster of 7 heavenly objects around one small object. This is what the scientists are today trying to achieve by sending manned or unmanned spacecrafts to different places in the space.
Another sage propelled himself with yogic and spiritual powers and tried to go against the created zone at a perpendicular to the ecliptic. After crossing many layers of the creation-space he found that he had started to lose his weight. Years before Archimedes proved weight loss due to the change of media this theory was found out to be true by the ancient Indian ascetic. At one point of his travel when he tried to have a look at his physical body and he literally bent himself downwards to do so, he found that his body was completely transparent or he was just looking at his Spiritual body or energy body. The difference between his two states was nothing but an illusion. Hence Time has often been referred to as a mere illusion. Let us not forget that all these people were indeed in an elevated state of their life and thus been termed to have achieved immortality this way. So, let us also make our journey interesting and not think that we are in fact not doing anything towards our own growth. Let us see that Time is in fact our very basis of being here, there, and elsewhere. Time is the Golden Spiral.
Time has been termed by many people to be of a very complex nature. But in reality, we can see that Time is absolutely perfect. “Just as the soul chooses the parents to suit its evolutionary Spiral, in the same way it also chooses a particular conjunction of an astrological condition, for the fruition of its Karmas. Nobody’s destiny is determined by the stars’ rather, every soul determines the Time, which is more propitious and appropriate for the incarnation,” says Swami Jyotirmayaananda in his book Esoteric Philosophy.
There seems to be a pattern in the astrological charts of persons born with a mission in life. The Milky way galaxy is the home of our solar system, together with at least 200 Billion other stars and their planets and also thousands of star-clusters and nebulae. Compared to neighboring galaxies (of which there are thousands), The Milky Way is quite massive. It's mass is probably 750 BILLION to 1 TRILLION times the weight of our Sun and its diameter is about 100,000 light years.
The
galactic system is moving at 250 km/sec and takes about 220 million years to
complete one orbit around the galactic center. Our solar system is 28,000 light
years away from this galactic center of the Milky-way galaxy. One light year is
the distance light travels in one solar year. The distance is equivalent to
about 9,000,000,000,000 km or 6,000,000,000,000 miles. The speeds at which the
various planets move in our solar system are as follows:
1. SUN takes one month to move around the twelve ZODIAC SIGNS.
2. JUPITER takes 12yrs to complete one circle of the ZODIAC.
3. SATURN takes approximately 29.5 years to do this.
4. MARS takes 321 days to complete this cycle.
5. VENUS takes 224 days.
6. MERCURY takes 88.66 days
7. MOON takes 27 or 28 days depending on its NODAL AXIS.
Thus the
Hora Shastra or the texts that define Hota or an hour are in fact derived
keeping in view these factors of the seven planets. Hence there are only seven Horas or hours in continuous progression set to an order. We can safely say here
that every hour that comes into being everyday is a new one and never repeats
itself, as the combinations of planets created thus shall always be different as
all are moving at different speeds. This basically is the reason that
astrologers find it very difficult to answer accurately some of the questions of
the seeker. The Hora is derived from the conjunction of “Aho” and “Raatri”
meaning day and night. (Or more precisely that which begins from nothingness and
peaks to being everything and again decays back to its stage of nothingness.)
The twenty four Horas of each day are so arranged that on Sundays the first Hora shall always be Sun Hora. (i.e. between midnight to 1 A.M.) Forr Monday it shall be Moon Hora, for Tuesday it shall be Mars Hora, for Wednesday Mercury Hora, Thursday Jupiter Hora, Friday Venus Hora, and finally Saturday Saturn Hora.
