It is my distinct pleasure and an honor to be asked by Jagan to write the preface to his astonishing book.

I "met" Jagan before 9-11-01 through his correspondence to me about coming to the California Institute of the Arts as a student. It was difficult for me to believe that he wanted to study North Indian classical music in the U.S., but nevertheless, I went along with this notion. He encountered many difficulties in coming to the U.S., and by the time he actually arrived, I believed finally that he was meant to be here for one reason or another after overcoming all those hardships. His determination was nearly Biblical and his success, though intermittent, was sure. Since I studied classical North Indian music in college and later, I felt we had a musical bond from the beginning. And then I discovered that we were both astrologers, albeit in different systems: mine Western, and his Vedic. But we had a wonderful time together.

Jagan worked closely with me on this book for the two years while he was enrolled at California Institute of the Arts. In our weekly meetings we shared many revelations and wonderful cosmic discoveries. We remain close friends and colleagues long after his graduation from CalArts.

As you approach this text, please do so with a completely clear mind. Jagan will not let you down. His insights, his spirituality, and his knowledge of music and mathematics will certainly astonish you. Allow yourself to be taken along the way of his brilliant inner mind, and along his most intense path of both spiritual and physical manifestation. When you emerge on the other side of having read his brilliant book, you will discover what I discovered: this is truly words-made-cosmic. Jagan brings Heaven and Earth together on an altogether different plane that none of us can imagine at the outset, but which all of us understand after reading his work.
